Privacy Policy

Remind Us ("we", "us") makes a shared reminder app for groups. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We sell nothing to advertisers and we show no ads.

1. Who we are

Remind Us is operated by the publisher of the Remind Us app. For any privacy question, email support@remindusapp.com.

2. What we collect

Account

You can start using Remind Us without creating an account or giving an email. The app provisions an anonymous account on your device automatically. If you later secure your account, we store the email address you provide so you can sign in and recover access.

Content you create

Your lists, reminders, groups, assignments and activity. When you share a list or join a group, that content is visible to the other members of that group. Members of a group can see each other's display name and profile photo.

Profile

An optional display name and profile photo you choose. Photos are stored in our cloud storage to sync across the group.

Device & usage

To deliver notifications we store a push token for your device. We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to diagnose crashes; this includes app events, a random app-instance identifier, device model and OS version. We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or browsing history.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details. We store your subscription status so Pro features unlock for your household.

3. How we use your data

• To run the core service: sync your lists and reminders across the people you share them with.
• To send reminders and group notifications you have opted into.
• To verify your email and help you recover your account.
• To keep the app stable and improve it (aggregate analytics and crash reports).
• To process and restore subscription purchases.

4. Where your data lives

Your content is stored on Amazon Web Services in the Europe (Frankfurt) region. Verification and account emails are sent through Amazon SES. Analytics and crash data are processed by Google Firebase. Push notifications are delivered through Apple (APNs) and Google (FCM).

5. Sharing

We share your content only with the group members you choose to share it with. We use the service providers named above (AWS, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple/Google) strictly to operate the app. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, we erase your personal data and content from our systems. Backups are rotated out shortly after.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data. Account deletion is available in the app under Profile. To exercise any other right, email support@remindusapp.com. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children

Remind Us is rated for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
